 NICHE 2008, Best Practices In the Care of Older Adults [October 6], November 3, & December 1, 2008 The NICHE model of care provides evidence-based tools to assist caregivers in meeting the specific needs of the elder population, with the goal of improving patient outcomes, safety and quality of life; using methods for the hospitalized elderly patient that can ultimately be carried over to the home, clinic or nursing home/ assisted living setting. |

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the tools, strategies and evidence-based practices to improve the quality of care for diabetic patients. Speakers will address current trends, technology and practice guidelines, as they move “beyond the basics”, focusing on the complex issues often faced by today’s diabetic patients. |
